Gdansk Airport

Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport is one of the three most important international airports in Poland, along with Warsaw and Krakow. Its position is influenced by a well-developed network of domestic and international relations. The airport is located in the Matarnia district of Gdansk, near the village of Rębiechowo, from which it got its original name, in a convenient location from the city center of Gdansk (10 km), Sopot (10 km) and Gdynia (23 km). ). An interesting fact is that the Port of Lotnichi named after. Lech Walesa is the reserve airport of Warsaw Okecie. In 2008, the airport served almost 2 million passengers. In terms of the number of passengers carried in 2008, it ranked fourth in Poland after Warsaw, Krakow and Katowice.

The beginning of the civil airport in Gdańsk dates back to 1919, when a civil airport was founded on the basis of the military airport located in Wrzeszcz (former Langfur), administered by the Senate of the Free City of Gdańsk. During the interwar period, it became an international port. The port in Rembiechowo, built from scratch, was put into operation on May 2, 1974. In 1997, a new terminal was put into operation, and in 2004 it was named after the former President of Poland, Lech Walesa.

Passengers have at their disposal one passenger terminal, a modern four-story building with full infrastructure, designed in the spirit of modern architecture. It has three above ground and one underground floor. Passenger Terminal of Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, I offer passengers a very wide range of services and points of sale, thanks to which it can meet the high demands of carriers, their passengers and other users.
