The Arrivals Hall also has four car rental counters and taxis are available 24 hours a day upon arrival.
DEPARTURE
Flybusses leave Reykjavik approximately 2.5 hours before departure. As we recommend arriving at the airport earlier due to Covid-19 to reduce queues, it is advised to board the bus earlier. Self check-in and service terminals are available in the Departures Hall on the ground floor.
TRAVEL WITH CHILDREN AND SPECIAL ASSISTANCE
If you are traveling with children , buggies and strollers are available, as well as a children’s playground. Passengers with reduced mobility can contact qualified airport staff. Sunflower cords are available at all information and check-in desks for passengers with hidden defects who require additional assistance.
Duty free shops are worth a visit
CONTROLLABLE
Permanent residents outside of Iceland may be entitled to a value added tax (VAT) refund on goods purchased during their stay in Iceland. A tax refund must be received prior to baggage check-in. This can be done at the Arion Bank counter near the reception.
PURCHASE OF SOUVENIRS AND RESTAURANTS
After check-in, you will find a good selection of brands in the shops at Leifur Eiríksson Airport. Goods and services available in duty free shops are very competitive compared to other European airports. All retail sales and services provided in the departure hall are in the duty-free zone and are therefore not subject to duty and tax.
