Tickets and prices for public transport in Croatia

In any city, bus and tram tickets can be purchased at newsstands, as well as from the driver. But I recommend you to buy from stalls called TISAK , as you will pay much more at all other stalls and from the driver. Such kiosks are easy to find on all major streets in Croatia.

If you are going to use transport on a permanent basis, it is a great option to buy a travel card – VRIJEDNOSNA KARTA . You can buy it in stores with the logo of the ZET transport company for 10 kuna (1 kuna = 4.4 hryvnias). At the same points of sale, you can top up the card and use it to pay for transportation.

There are several types of tickets, but all of them are suitable for both bus and tram travel. We recommend buying tickets as in the 3 photos. For short distances – a ticket for 30 minutes, and for long – 60 minutes. Their price is: 30 minutes – 4-6 kuna, 60 minutes – 7-10 kuna.

How to use a ticket and travel card?

After entering the transport salon, you need to insert the ticket into a special device, or, if you have purchased a travel card, simply select the required travel time on the screen: 30/60 min., attach the card to it and the machine will issue your ticket.

On the ticket, the device prints the exact time of the start of using the transport. Be careful, because the fine for using an already invalid ticket is 500-700 kuna, which is 3100 hryvnias!

Important: the ticket indicates that you can only travel in one direction, but this does not prevent you from changing from one bus to another, or from a bus to a tram, if you still have time left to use the ticket.
