How to quickly get from Venice airport to the city?

After paying 8 euros, you can go to the city by bus, which will take you there in 30 minutes. You can also use the shuttle, the fare is 6 euros. You can take the shuttle to the center in about 20 minutes.

There is an option for water transport (water taxi), here, of course, the travel time is 1 hour 20 minutes, but the journey will also be more fun. The cost of a water taxi from the airport is 8 euros. In 20 minutes and 40 euros, you can get there by individual means of transport. A taxi will take you comfortably to any point in the city center.

Bus from Venice airport to the city

When choosing a bus, take ACTV route No. 5. The fare is 8 euros one way and the bus will take you to the Piazzale Roma stop in about 30 minutes. When purchasing a bus pass, do not forget to validate it.

Tickets can be purchased from special machines; one pass allows you to ride for 75 minutes. The bus runs from 4 am to 1 am.

Shuttle express from Venice airport to the city

From the airport there is an ATVO Shuttle that goes to the Piazzale Roma stop. This type of transfer is considered the most popular among independent tourists.

The fare is 6 euros and the journey takes approximately 20 minutes. Tickets for the Shuttle can be purchased online on the website or from special machines.

From Venice airport to the city by boat

There is the coolest, but also time-consuming way to get to the center of Venice. There is a water taxi from the airport to the city, which will take you to the center in 1 hour 20 minutes, the fare will cost 8 euros. The water taxi runs every day from 09:15 to 19:45 pm. The blue line operates all year round, the pink line from April to October.

Tickets are sold online at the Alilaguna box office. For 38 euros there is an additional service, delivery of passengers to the hotel, if the hotel has its own pier. The boat landing is located 200 meters from the airport; you have to walk to the pier (7-10 minutes). Follow the signs and find the landing point.

Taxi from Venice airport to city center

Like all other airports, Marco Polo has many unscrupulous taxi drivers who want to make money from tourists.

We recommend using official companies, or ordering a taxi online in advance. A taxi will deliver you to the city in about 20 minutes, the fare starts from 40 euros.

When ordering a taxi online, they will offer you car options, calculate the distance from the airport to the hotel, calculate the total cost and one of the safest points, and meet you with a sign at the airport. If you are going on holiday with a large family, order a modern minibus for 48 euros.
