Iceland is an associate member of the Schengen Agreement, which exempts travelers from in-person border controls between 26 EU countries. Schengen citizens traveling to Iceland can stay in the country for 90 days without a visa.

Residents outside the Schengen area need a passport that is valid for at least three months from the date of entry. Information on passport and visa requirements, as well as Schengen area rules, can be found on   the Icelandic Immigration Service website   .
